Under limited supervision the ESS Manufacturing Manager plans, organizes, implements and manages the activities, resources and people for battery production (D6) and assigned projects. Provides leadership and guidance to supervisors and individual contributors with advanced or specialized skills. Demonstrated experience in areas of personnel management, business systems, quality, project management and experience with engineering and technology is required.

Scope of activities: The ESS Manufacturing Manager is responsible for all facility and operational aspects of the G4 building including receiving, inspection, inventory management, production, quality, shipping and warranty processes. The manager will engage with a wide range of support and customer functions within the company to achieve optimum results. This will involve contributing to development and operational teams, assuming leadership positions when appropriate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Creates sustainable competitive advantage for product lines. Provides product line leadership for energy solutions to substantiate the compelling value proposition of Raymond’s offering.

• Determines current and future customer and market needs through market intelligence and voice of customer efforts. Assembles, maintains, and uses actionable competitive intelligence.

• Owns the strategic product planning, product roadmap, and Marketing Requirements Definition (MRD) processes for energy solutions. Acts as an interface with engineering to develop the next generation of products, product enhancements, and services.

• Ensures new products / services fulfill marketplace requirements for successful introduction into the market as well as long-term success and sustainability. Creates programs and content to stimulate profitable sales growth.

• Establishes and maintains product pricing that will optimize market share growth and profitability.

• Monitors ongoing maintenance / health of products including customer satisfaction, warranty, lead times, product margin, and customization. Recommends and helps prioritize actions that will drive sustainable improvements.

• Assesses overall material handling systems in warehouse/distribution centers or manufacturing locations and develops strategic balance between traditional and emerging energy storage solutions for Raymond’s customers.

• Provides technical expertise, training, materials, and tools to the sales force and dealer network for products and applications.

• Participates in new technology evaluations.

• Collaborates with procurement and helps integrate third party suppliers.

• Represents Raymond as the product and solutions expert for assigned product line(s).

The successful candidate will possess a sense of urgency to meet or exceed customer requirements and quality expectations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior and executive level staff, are also key to success.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. 10 or more years of broad experience in marketing, finance, business, or analytical role. Experience in material handling industry is preferred
