Amy Erickson is a results-driven leader advancing manufacturing growth and competitiveness on Long Island. As Executive Director of the Long Island Manufacturing Extension Partnership (LIMEP) at Stony Brook University, she has secured and deployed millions of dollars in federal and regional investment to support manufacturers—driving business expansion, job creation, and regional economic impact. With a background spanning defense, aerospace, energy, and medical devices, Amy brings a strong combination of engineering expertise and operational leadership, with a track record of improving production efficiency and delivering results across complex manufacturing environments.

Prior to LIMEP, Amy held senior leadership roles where she led large-scale system deployments in healthcare, strengthened operations for precision manufacturing programs, and contributed to advanced microelectronics and space-related initiatives supporting major commercial and federal partners. She is also committed to workforce and industry development, having led initiatives connecting students to manufacturing careers, supported companies through industry recertification, and contributed to technical research with the U.S. Department of Energy. Since joining LIMEP, Amy has led a comprehensive organizational transformation—expanding services in sustainability, workforce development, and advanced technologies—while significantly improving the center’s performance and impact for New York manufacturers.
