Syracuse, NY based Vetted Tech Inc. is an additive manufacturer working to provide their customers with advanced 3D printed parts. Their services include taking a customer’s conceptual drawings to finished prototypes, ready to install tight tolerance parts ready for installation and small batch production runs on tight schedules. Vetted Tech found that as they were growing and working to acquire new clients their lack of AS9100/ISO9001 certifications was a hindrance in winning contracts in their target markets. They also saw an opportunity to optimize operations as they went down the path of achieving those certifications.
Vetted Tech contacted their Central New York Regional MEP Center and MEP National Network member Central New York Technology Development Organization (CNYTDO) for assistance in implementing a formal AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management System (QMS).  CNYTDO assisted with the entire project from training the team on AS9100/ISO9001 and helping them adopt the new QMS procedures and policies. They collectively implemented lean/process management software to operationalize the changes.
