Dr. Guanhua Yan
Dr. Guanhua Yan, Ph.D. – Associate Professor, Binghamton University
Dr. Guanhua Yan earned his Ph.D. from Dartmouth College in 2005. He joined Binghamton University from Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, where he spent nine years, first as a Research Associate and then as a Research Scientist. His research areas span cybersecurity, big data, networking, and modeling & simulation.
Paul LaPorte
Paul LaPorte – Cyber Security Coordinator, Advanced Institute for Manufacturing
As an IT professional for 10 years, Paul has provided a variety of IT and Cyber Security solutions and training in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, education, commerce, insurance, and more. Paul has an A.S in Microcomputer Technologies: Technical Support and a B.S. in Network and Computer Security. Prior to joining AIM, Paul was the Interim Director of Information Technology at the Utica School of Commerce.

Prior to OrbitalFire, Dana spent over 20 years leading marketing strategies at tech companies including CommerceHub, Channeltivity, and SommlHealth. Dana is also a sought-after speaker and moderator for both industry and charity events.

Geoff Halstead – Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, Faction Networks
Geoff Halstead is a visionary entrepreneur, product strategist and Chief Product Officer for Faction Networks, where he drives its mission to build platforms, apps and tools that enable every day users and small to mid-sized organizations and groups to achieve security and privacy for their networking, devices, communications and data. Prior to Faction Networks, Geoff has conceived, built and grown multiple disruptive products across digital media, traffic information, indoor navigation and cybersecurity, including pioneering and building the space for turn-by-turn indoor navigation at Connexient, where he took the company from a napkin sketch to the market leader with over 35 major healthcare network clients and acquisition by Everbridge.

Paul Paff – System Administrator, Doron Precision Systems, Inc.
As an IT professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry, Paul’s career started as a computer repair technician. His journey in IT advanced him to the role of senior service technician through commitment and self-driven learning. Fueled by his passion for technology, he ventured into entrepreneurship and established a successful business that catered to clients across the southern tier of New York. Specializing in networking, server equipment, and custom computer builds eventually led him to his current role as the Systems Administrator at Doron Precision System Inc.
Paul’s trajectory at Doron Precision System Inc. is a testament to his dedication and expertise. Starting as a customer service tech, he quickly rose through the ranks, earning promotion to IT specialist. His extensive knowledge in the field is reinforced by certifications such as CCNA and A+, showcasing his commitment to staying current with industry standards, a reputation strengthened by years of experience, and continuous pursuit of knowledge in Information technology.
Carol Miller
Carol Miller – Executive Director, Alliance for Manufacturing & Technology
Carol is a seasoned leader with an extensive background spanning over three decades in diverse manufacturing environments. Throughout her career, she has forged a reputation for her expertise in Strategic & Operational Planning, Operational Excellence, Project Management, Technology
Integration, Benchmarking and Best Practices, and Change Management. Over the past five years, under her leadership, AMT’s clients have experienced documented benefits totaling $764 million. In her role, she collaborates closely with AMT’s manufacturing clients, stakeholders, and partners. Carol’s journey with AMT began in 2004 as a Principal Consultant, where she worked closely with small to mid-sized manufacturers in the Southern Tier. Before joining the MEP, Carol held various managerial and operational roles in private and public manufacturing organizations. Carol holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an M.S. in Management of Technology.
Cory Albrecht
Cory Albrecht – Director, Advanced Institute for Manufacturing
Since 2007 Cory has been assisting manufacturers in the Mohawk Valley Region through the New York State Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program as the Director of MVCC’s Advanced Institute for Manufacturing (AIM). In this role, Cory works with over 700 Mohawk Valley Regional manufacturers with the goal of helping them increase their competitiveness and grow businesses.
Dr. Everton H. Henriques
Dr. Everton H. Henriques – Director of Manufacturing and Technology Initiatives, FuzeHub
Dr. Everton H. Henriques is the Director of Manufacturing and Technology Initiatives at FuzeHub. His focus is helping the manufacturing community, general industry, start-ups, local colleges, and universities to advance innovation and technology. He is a co-founder and vice president of the former Panasonic Plasma Display Laboratory of America, Inc. (formerly Plasmaco, Inc.). In 1999 Plasmaco made the first full color 60-inch HD plasma display television in the world. Everton was an engineering manager at IBM’s Kingston plasma display manufacturing facility and spent 32 years in the plasma business. Everton was also a research chemist for Texaco, Inc. He received the BS and MA degrees in Chemistry, with emphasis in Physical Chemistry and Materials Science, from SUNY New Paltz. He received the IBM Business Decision Making (MBA Fundamentals) Certificate from the Darden School of Business at UVA. He received several invention awards from IBM and was inducted into the School of Business’ Hall of Fame at SUNY New Paltz in 2010. In May 2022 Everton provided the Commencement address at the State University of New York at New Paltz and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa.
