Newburgh, NY based Graphic Technology, Inc. (GTI) is a leading supplier of tight tolerance lighting systems and services for critical color viewing, color communication and color matching assessments.  Their services are used to allow designers to choose their perfect colors for the environments where their art or advertisements will be displayed by mimicking the environment’s lighting qualities. GTI’s headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in their 37,000 sq. ft facility in Newburgh. The Hudson Valley New York MEP Partner and MEP National Network member, Manufacturing & Technology Enterprise Center (MTEC) has been helping GTI for several years. Recently, GTI started experiencing supply chain issues for components of the controller boards used in their lighting products. With supplier lead times stretching out to almost a year in some cases, GTI was looking at revenue losses of potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars.
With an existing partnership in place, MTEC’s engineering department redesigned the printed circuit boards and identified a supplier for manufacturing these and has assembled and programmed over 100 boards to date. MTEC continues to support them through implementation and has become an extension of the GTI team.
We are very fortunate to have the resources provided by MTEC available to us. The design capabilities and support that we receive has enabled us to remain competitive in the global markets we serve… Without the redesign, we potentially would have lost between $660,000-$880,000 in sales!
