Success Story Powered by New York MEP Regional Center AMT

Lansing, NY based medical manufacturer NovaSterilis makes equipment used to sterilize pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biomaterials used in regenerative medicine applications.  It has been used to process orthopedic devices used in over half a million surgeries.  This equipment has also been used to make novel medical devices.

NovaSerilis recognized a need to improve its operating software to a programmable logic controller (PLC).  They turned to NY MEP Regional Center AMT to assist in getting expertise to do this.  AMT leveraged their partner, Jamex, Inc to provide the services and support for the project.  Over the course of this project, they also improved the electrical design which allowed for incorporation of additional process controls.  This has created new market opportunities for NovaSterilis.  AMT acting as project manager further secured a NYSEG MAP grant to offset part of the project costs.

This partnership with AMT bettered our business. We developed a relationship with knowledgeable and well connected partner in AMT. This specific program was not only beneficial because it has allowed us to achieve a level of productivity we would not have otherwise attained, but it also has allowed us to successfully secure new market opportunities for our sterilization platform.
