Success Story Powered by New York MEP Regional Center Insyte Consulting

Grand Island, NY based T&T Legacy Metals is a metals service center.  There expertise is in all types of metals including angle, tube, beam, square, round, plate and more.  Their materials capabilities include hot rolled, cold rolled, aluminum, etc.  With these various metal types, their processing capabilities include miter and band saw cutting, plasma and oxygen burning, water jet cutting, drilling and laser cutting of sheet, plate or tube metals.

They have been operating out of a 4,000 sq. foot facility in Tonawanda, NY  since 2020 that NY MEP Regional Center Insyte Consulting helped layout.  However, the growth of their business since then prompted them to consider either expanding or relocating to a larger facility.  Having worked with Insyte in the past, T&T Legacy Metals turned to them to help with the new layout of their 23,500 sq. ft. facility across the Niagara River on in Grand Island, NY.  Insyte helped with organizing their operation taking into consideration the existing building layout (docks, utility locations, storage equipment, etc), their existing equipment that would move into the facility, and new processing equipment as well.  A CAD (computer aided design) drawing of the new facility was completed.  Working with the operational personnel, alternative layouts were developed for machine and storage placement and a final one was selected.  The new facility and its layout facilitates the flow of material from order to finished work into shipping and best leverages the existing cranes and docks.

Working with lnsyte Consulting allowed us to manage the process of moving to a new building, while also helping us to focus on our day-to-day business. Having the proper plant layout allowed us to have the necessary infrastructure in place to complete the move, including all inventory and equipment, while simultaneously adding new equipment.
